The modem does have a flap on the side of it which has a connection port for an external antenna for better reception. In regards to whether it will work with the broomstick antenna, I can't say for certain (having never owned a broomstick antenna) but the ports seem similar, so there is a high probably that it will work.

Hi Oscar,

The Telstra Turbo Broadband Modem does have a port to insert an external antenna/aerial to.

Take note that Telstra themselve don't stock high levels of these antennas, especially in metropolitan stores, to you may need to purchase one online.

Unfortunately I can't give you a 100% answer for Telstra however I do know for Vodafone the sim won't work in a phone as I tried to do just that.

I would assume its the same for other providers.

The telstra turbo includes 2GB of Data. its the Elite version that has 3GB included. You will not see under my account the 2GB. But during your usage, you can check your balance and history usage to see that you are actually using the 2GB that you get when you first buy the unit. This is with TELSTRA and not with the retail provider. Even on the box at the front it shows "included 2GB data for use for the 30days)

Question
Hi I purchased this from Erina store last week and was told it came with 3gb bonus credit. However when we activated it there was no credit.
Telstra Pre-Paid Turbo wireless broadband.
Please can someone tell me how we receive the bonus credit. The salesman at Erina store was adamant about the credit and that was why I purchased it.
